SIM PIN

Before installing a SIM Card into an Ezitrak unit you should first install the SIM into a normal handset and using the
phone menus find the SIM PIN and DIS-ABLE it.The SIM PIN must first be disabled before installing into an Ezitrak
to prevent the Ezitrak Unit from not starting up and also to prevent the SIM being LOCKED.


3G SIMS

WARNING 3G SIMs can be used in the Ezitrak unit BUT they must be placed into 2G MODE (GSM Mode) ONLY !!!
If a SIM is left in 3G Mode OR DUAL MODE then the unit may LOCKUP and can only be restarted by sending a technician
out to the vehicle for a Service Call to reset the unit physically. Rojone deos not accept liability for
these issues and Warranty will NOT cover this situation.

 

PRE-PAID SIMs

Pre-Paids are NOT recommended, BUT they can be used with caution.
If Pre-Paid SIMs are used then Rojone accepts No responsibility or liability for changing a SIM in a vehicle that has expired,
even if the unit is still under warranty. Example, if a pre-paid is used and the user allows the SIM to expire then the only way to
fix the problem is to de-install the unit and replace the SIM.
De-installation may cost $200 and is NOT covered by warranty when a SIM Expires.


SIM ACCOUNT EXPIRES

SIM AUTOMATIC SERVICES

It is also important that any Automated Services on the SIM are DISABLED.
These include, message bank, call waiting, automated sms services, redirection and automated answering systems.
Also disable any Automated ADVERTISING, Call Connect services, Premium Services (Paid SMS etc).
Beacuse the unit is a machine it will NOT know how to handle automated services.



GPRS PLAN ADVICE

The unit automatically connects to the internet.
There are many reasons why the unit may connect and disconnect many times a day, even hundreds of times a day.
For example on the EDGE of coverage the unit may continually drop in and out of signal.
SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE USER IS NOT CHARGED FOR EACH CONNECTION.

 

ELECTRONIC BILLING

Electronic billing is advised to potentially reduce the physical size of a bill.
Bills can be hundreds of pages listing every individual connection.
If your Service Provider sends your bill Electronically then we save on trees.


NETWORK NOTIFICATIONS

Some Network Service Providers send automated messages to SIMs for various reasons including exceeding monthly data limits.
These messages are passed on to the SMS NUMBER held within the Ezitrak unit.

NOTE: Users must SET this SMS Number to receive these messages.
It is recommended that the user is alerted if the unit exceeds it monthly data allowance.
Ideally the Network should STOP relaying data.
This way the user will NOT be charged for extra data used.
Additional data usage ABOVE a plan limit can be very expensive.
We advise NOT to accept a Fixed Rate when ABOVE the Plan ammount (i.e. 2 cents per kilobyte is BAD !!!!)


RECOMMENDED GPRS PLAN

 Rojone recommends a monthly GPRS data plan of 10 Mega Bytes minimum.
We also recommend NO Flagfall, Electronic Billing, Data Usage Alerts and ALL.
Electronic or Automated Services should bedisabled on the SIM.


NOTE:

SETTINGS

The user is responsible to ensure all Ezitrak unit settings and website settings are correct.
Please notify Rojone of any changes made to any settings such as the PIN or Unit Name.
It is also very important to notify Rojone of a change in Unit Phone Number or Network Service Provider.

OWNERSHIP

Please notify Rojone if a unit has changed ownership for whatever reason such as with the sale of a vehicle.
Rojone will NOT accept a transfer of account from one person or company to another unless authorised in writing before the transaction takes place.

 

WEBSITE USAGE

Rojone provides access to the Ezitrak Website for the use of customers to track and control their vehicles.
Rojone is not liable for any problems or resulting damages caused by service outages of the system.
The product relies on various service providers to produce the information and transfer the information from the unit to the Web Server.
Rojone is not liable for any outages or errors in the information provided to users over the website or any other form of information delivery to users.

Rojone is not liable for the accuracy of information displayed or provided to users over the website,
via email or any other form of correspondence with the user.

 

DATA USAGE

Rojone is not liable for the ammount of data used by any unit.
We recommend plans should be chosen which will limit or suspend data and or voice and SMS services delivery if the basic plan costs are exceeded.
Rojone will be happy to discuss methods of reducing the data and service usage of the unit with users.
Data or services usage is a function of how many hours the vehicle is used and how the vehicle is controlled and monitored.

 

STOLEN VEHICLES

Rojone is not liable for stolen, recovered or unrecovered vehicles or any time or costs encountered in the process.
Rojone recommends the following to reduce the likelyhood of theft or unrecovered vehicles.
Always ARM the system when the vehicle is left unattended.
Always setup the unit with appropriate dialout phone numbers
Periodically test the alarm system dialout by triggering an alarm.
Practise protocols to follow in the event of a theft.
Install DUMMY tracking units as a DECOY in the vehicle.
Install Redundant Tracking units in each vehicle.
Use SLEEP Mode to reduce the possibility of scanners detecting the tracker.

 

JAMMING

Rojone is not liable for the functional failure of the unit under any circumstances.
These include both accidental or non accidental jamming of the system.
High frequency jammers can be used to jam the GPS and also the GSM networks imapiring the unit in carrying out its normal function.
Please note that deliberate jamming of either the GPS or GSM networks is seen as a Criminal Offence in most countries and
is regarded essentually as an act of terrorism as it is a deliberate interferrence with the communications system.


GPS

GPS receivers are designed to operate outdoors with a clear view of the sky.
As the Ezitrak is a security system the GPS antenna is installed generally underneath the dashboard or some other covert location.
This is a compromise situation where the antenna will suffer a degredation in performance because it is receiving a much smaller signal through the dashboard. Additional signal attenuation is also caused by the windscreen and surrounding metal structure of the vehicle. Consequently the GPS may have difficulty getting a fix inside structures such as sheds, carparks and even under folliage such as trees in a dense forrest.
Please see the Installation Manual for methods of improving GPS signal strength in your vehicle.


CONNECTION and SIGNAL STRENGTH

Rojone is not liable for connection or non connection of vehicles to the GPRS network.

Network operators perform a protocol for connecting mobile internet devices and transferring data over the GPRS network.
The protocols and algorithms the Network Providers use are not general public knowledge
and so for example if the network flags to our server that a particular device is connected then our server cannot judge otherwise,
we must believe the information returned to us from the network.

Some circumstances can arise where the GSM signal level is at or near its lowest threshold
where the network can keep connection to the device but is unable to send information to or from the device.
When this happens the Rojone Server is UNAWARE that this is happenning and so will show that the unit is connected
to the website even though the information is not updateing.

 

HACKERS and SECURITY

Rojone uses the latest techniques for data encryption and network security to maxmise the data integrity through our Server,
but the Rojone Server may still be targeted by hackers, viruses and Spyware.
Rojone is not liable for corrupted or lossed information incurred through computer fraud or crime.


INSTALLATION

If an approved installer is NOT used then any claim for repair or replacement of parts is subject to approval by Rojone.


DAMAGE CLAIMS

Rojone is not liable for any alleged damage to the unit or the vehicle to which it is installed either during installation
or during use of the system over its lifetime.
Rojone is also not liable for any alleged damage caused by the unit.


CHANGES

Rojone reserves the right to change or modify any or all software and functions associated with the Ezitrak Unit
or Website at any time without notice.


UPGRADES

Rojone can upgrade Ezitrak Units to fix bugs, modify performance, enhance functions or create new functions at anytime without notice.
Upgrades to fix existing bugs are handled free of charge but Rojone reserves the right to charge for upgrades
when adding new functions or features or enhancing existing functions.


SETUP and MAINTAINANCE (SMS CHARGES)

Rojone reserves the right to access Ezitrak Units using SMS Messaging for the purpose of Unit SETUP, maintenance and fault diagnosis.
Rojone does not normally charge for this service but reserves the right to do so if required.
All return SMS Messages from Ezitrak Units are charged by the User’s Network Service Provider
at normal SMS Rates determined usually by the User’s Plan.

 

WATERPROOFING

The waterproofing will protect the unit from high humidity environments under normal pressure.
Incorrect use of the waterproofing or lack of maintanence will void the warranty.
The waterproofing, when applied, is for moist environments only where water or high humidity may come
in contact with the unit in a NON-continuous splash at atmospheric pressure only.

The unit must NOT be immersed in water, to any depth, but will survive a moist environment if properly installed and maintained.

class="termsstyle24"Pressurised water must NOT be sprayed directly at or near the unit at any time.
Do NOT expose the unit to direct sunlight or high temperatures, particularly in moist environments.

Check the unit regularly for water ingress as part of your normal maintenance.
The Desiccant Bag will remove most of the moisture from within the unit. It is important that the Desiccant Bag is periodically replaced.
The replacement period depends on humidity and local moisture level. Typical replacement period is approximately every 6 months.

WARRANTY

Your EziTrak MICRO® is warranted for a period of 12 months against defects in material & workmanship EFFECTIVE FROM DATE OF PURCHASE.
Please complete the enclosed warranty card to secure your Guarantee and kindly retain your Purchase receipt as proof of purchase,
which must be presented if making a claim under the terms of the Rojone Guarantee.



LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, DISCLAIMERS AND PRIVACY ISSUES


ROJONE WARRANTS THAT IT HAS USED ITS BEST ENDEAVOURS TO MANUFACTURE A PRODUCT FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED
USING ITS KNOWLEDGE, KNOW HOW, EXPERTISE AND SKILL.

HOWEVER, ROJONE ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY ACTIONS ON THE PART OF THE PURCHASER OR USER
WHICH MAY RENDER THE EQUIPMENT INOPERATIVE DUE TO ANY FAILURE ON THE PART OF THE PURCHASER OR USER TO COMPLY
WITH THE “USER’S MANUAL” AND STRICTLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DIRECTIONS AND GUIDELINES NOTED THEREIN.

FURTHER, ROJONE ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL EFFECTS OR BREACHES RESULTING FROM THE PURCHASER
OR USER'S FAILURE TO USE THE EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED INCLUDING ANY BREACHES OF THE PRIVACY ACT,
THE CRIMES ACT 1900, THE WORKPLACE SURVEILLANCE ACT 1998 (NSW), THE INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ACT 1996 OR LEGISLATION,
THE PASSENGER TRANSPORT (TAXI CAB SERVICES) ACT 1995, THE COMMON LAW AND ANY AND ALL LEGISLATION
DEALING WITH PRIVACY AND SURVEILLANCE OF PERSONS INCLUDING EMPLOYEES.

IN ADDITION, ROJONE DISCLOSES THAT THE IMPROPER USE OF THE EQUIPMENT MAY CONTRAVENE PARTS OF THE LEGISLATION
REFERRED TO IN THE PREVIOUS PARAGRAPH. ACCORDINGLY, ROJONE ACCEPTS ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR USAGE
WHICH MAY FALL OUTSIDE OF THE SCOPE OF THE PROPER INTENDED PURPOSE OF THE EQUIPMENT.

ROJONE ALSO DISCLOSES THAT THE IMMOBILIZATION CAPACITY OF THE EQUIPMENT MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE, HARM AND OR
PERSONAL INJURY TO THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE AND ITS PASSENGERS PARTICULARLY WHERE THE IMMOBILIZATION OCCURS
AT A SIGNIFICANT SPEED. ROJONE ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RESULTING DAMAGE,
HARM OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED OR SUSTAINED BY PERSONS IN SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES.

PURCHASERS OF THE EQUIPMENT ARE CAUTIONED TO USE THE EQUIPMENT EXERCISING DILIGENCE AND CARE AT ALL TIMES.
ROJONE ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY FAILURE OF THE PURCHASER OR USER'S DUTY OF CARE RESULTING FROM ANY
IMPROPER OR UNAUTHORISED OR WRONGFUL USE OF THE EQUIPMENT.

Nothing in these terms shall exclude, restrict or modify any conditions, warranty or liability implied into this contact by statute WHERE
to do so would be unlawful or would render any provision of this contract void. Subject to that, all warranties implied by statute in respect of
the goods are hereby expressly negated, and Rojone's liability for the goods is limited to any warranties issued in writing by Rojone.
Rojone is excluded from any other liability whether under this contract or otherwise to the buyer or any third party for any loss, injury, cost
or damage incurred or suffered by reason of the goods, their use, or their design. Whether direct, indirect, special,
consequential or otherwise and whether or not arising from a negligent act or omission of Rojone.

Where it is legal to do so, any remaining liability implied by statute or resulting from breach of any term, condition, warranty implied
or statute is limited to Rojone's sole option.
